Privacy policy

1. Controller

The data controller is CYD Technology (“we”). For any privacy question, write to contact@cydtechnology.com.

2. Data we process

• Account: the name, email and profile photo Google or Apple provide when you sign in (through Firebase Authentication).
• Profile and health: sex, age, height, weight, goal, activity level, injuries or physical limitations and nutrition preferences you enter in the app.
• Activity: routines, workout sessions, meals, fasts, hydration, streaks and generated plans.
• AI content: food photos and the data you send to the AI Coach or the recipe generator.
• Purchases: your subscription status and access codes, through RevenueCat and the stores. We never see your card details.
• Reminders (PRO): if you turn on meal reminders, your device notification token, language and time zone, so we can send them on time through Firebase Cloud Messaging.
• Advertising (FREE): advertising identifiers, device data and the IP address used by Google AdMob, which may use it to estimate your approximate location (never your precise one). Your consent decides whether ads are personalised.
• Diagnostics: technical usage, performance and crash data collected by Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics and Performance Monitoring.

3. Where it is stored

By default your data is stored on your device in a local database that only the app can access. On Android, that database and your session are excluded from cloud backups and phone-to-phone transfers. If you are PRO, your routines, logs and profile sync with our servers on Amazon Web Services over encrypted connections. If you are FREE, your activity data stays on your device except what the features you use need (AI, scanner, purchases and ads).

4. What we use it for

• Providing the service: timer, routines, meal plan, analytics and sync.
• Calculating your reference calories and macros and personalizing AI plans.
• Managing your subscription, daily AI quotas and rewarded ads.
• Showing ads on the FREE plan according to your consent.
• Detecting crashes, improving performance and protecting the service from abuse.

5. Artificial intelligence

Photos and AI requests are sent to our server, which forwards them to third-party AI model providers to generate the answer. Photos are compressed on your phone, are not stored on our servers and are discarded after analysis. We do not use your data to train models.

Depending on the feature and availability, these providers may be DeepSeek and Moonshot AI (Kimi), with servers in China; OpenAI and Anthropic, in the United States; and Google (Gemini). For the AI Coach we send your training profile (age, sex, height, weight, goals, injuries or physical limitations and preferences), your food preferences and the tweaks you type; for the estimator, the photo of your plate; for recipes, the ingredients and preferences you choose. We do not send your name or email.

6. Who we share data with

We do not sell your data. We only share it with the providers needed to run the app: Google (Firebase and AdMob), Apple, RevenueCat, Amazon Web Services, AI model providers and Open Food Facts, which only receives the barcode you look up.

7. Your rights

You can access, correct and export your data (from Profile › Share), object to processing, withdraw your advertising consent and ask for deletion. See how to request it at Data deletion.

8. Retention

We keep your account data while your account is active. If you ask for deletion, we remove it from our systems within 30 days, except what we must keep by law.

9. Children

TraininGo is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

10. Changes

If we change this policy we will publish the new version on this page with its update date.
